NEW IBERIA, LA -A Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Beverly Ann Reed, 56, will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 2PM at Good Samaritan Church of God in Christ - 503 Harriet Street, New Iberia, LA, Pastor Adrian Daye, officiant.

Her earthly remains will be laid to rest at St. Edwards Catholic Church Cemetery in New Iberia, LA.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 1PM at Good Samaritan Church of God in Christ - New Iberia until the time of service.

Ms. Beverly Ann Reed was born on Sunday, February 19, 1967 to the late Richmond Reed, Sr. of Franklin, LA and Nellie Reed of New Iberia, LA. BeverlyAnn, as she was referred to growing up was educated in the Iberia Parish School district after which she attended nursing school.

Beverly accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age. She was an active member of the Good Samaritan Church of God in Christ. Bev was a frim believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. She often reminded her children and other, "take God with you everywhere you go!"

She enjoyed playing cards, going to the truck stop, being around family and friends and fishing.

We will miss Bev’s vibrant personality which began to diminish with her illness, which she succumbed to on Friday, September 29th at 2:07am surrounded by family. She leaves to cherish her memory her special friend Glenn Smith; children Mary Reed, Beatrice Reed, Franchester Reed of New Iberia, LA; god-children Moesha Gray and Celina Reed; sisters Velma Reed, Janice Leonard, Debra Reed Green and Charlene (Kiley) Reed-Boutte, both of New Iberia, LA; 7 grandchildren, Mariel Reed, Branson Reed, Zionna Browne, Brya Reed, Ryanna Hill, Tre'Nasia Reed and Kayceon Reed; one great-granchild, Keyanni Mitchell. Specail friends, Jane Harris, Darrelyn Hayes and Sadie Bernard, Katrine Trahan and Nakeisha Christia along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends. 

She was proceeded in death by her father, Richmond Reed, Sr., two brothers Richmond Reed, Jr and Clifton Reed; one sister Melva Reed; uncles Joseph Bailey, Peter Bailey, John Bailey and David Green; three nephews Evan Barnes, Emmanuel Barnes, Preston Barnes; two aunts Rose Blangor and Ida Mae Simmons.

Condolences may be expressed in Ms. Beverly's guest book.
